Description

Recreational park Klein Giethoorn, was traditionally a farm campsite and is located among the fields and fields where farmers still grow their products. The park, which is located in Opperdoes, North Holland, just like the village it is located in, exudes a wonderful peace and serene silence.

A spacious bungalow, right on the water.

The layout of this bungalow includes a spacious sitting area and an open kitchen on the ground floor. The shower is also on this floor and there is a separate toilet.
There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one of which has 3 single beds and the other has 2 single beds.
Through the two patio doors you will enter the garden with a terrace where you can enjoy the sun. Via a staircase you can get to the jetty where you can moor a boat if you wish.

Surroundings:
In the middle of all the peace and vastness lies Medemblik, the oldest city in West Friesland. The city has with the Regatta Center a water sports center with international allure where national - and international sailing competitions are organized. In the center you will find modern and historic side by side.
Beautiful yachts and historic ships of the brown fleet moor in the modern harbors of the historic city center. Sitting on one of the terraces you can watch all the hustle and bustle on the water from behind a nice drink.

The city has many museums; in a prominent spot stands Radboud Castle, dating from the late 13th century. At the Bakery Museum the most delicious delicacies are baked in the traditional way and at the Steam Pumping Station you can learn all about the development of the steam engine. Medemblik is also a stop for the Hoorn-Medemblik steam streetcar.
This mill near the Westerpoort in Medemblik is mentioned on maps as early as 1555. After nearly four hundred years of service, the mill was demolished in 1947. In 1985 the "Stichting de Medemblikker Meelmolen" was founded and the octagon of the 300-year-old Zaanse oil mill "De Herder" was purchased.
Beginning in 1986, enthusiastic volunteers and professional millwrights began carefully dismantling the mill in Willeskop and rebuilding it in Medemblik. On May 9, 1990, H.R.H. Prince Claus officially inaugurated the mill by lifting the vang.

The peace-seeker gets on his bike with the VVV bicycle route in hand and makes a trip over dikes, through old ribbon villages and past cheese-cover farmhouses. From the back of the dike you look out over the endless IJsselmeer.
